A Bit About Us
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Ludico Theatre, rooted in collaborative artistic processes and cultural diversity, is a collective of international and Danish artists based in Aarhus. We aim to create a space where performing arts foster connection, communication, and belonging. Recognizing the need to engage the city’s international community, we founded our group, performing in English, Gibberish, and other creative forms—leading to the creation of Ludico. Notable performances include "The Three Traveling Sisters," "Cabaret Baubo," and "MOM." We also offer courses and workshops, building a diverse community focused on artistic growth and contributing to Aarhus' cultural vibrancy.
Juliana Appel
Actress - Drama teacher -
Fedenkrais practitioner
An actress and storyteller with over 20 years in art and drama education, she graduated in Fine Art, specialized in Art Education, and trained in physical theatre at the International Commedia School in Copenhagen.
Now in her fourth year at the Feldenkrais Institute in Vienna, she co-founded Ludico Theatre in Aarhus, where she combines her expertise in art, education, and Feldenkrais techniques to lead workshops on body language, presence, and awareness.
Ofer Ravid
Actor - Drama teacher - Director
Ofer Ravid is an international theatre director, performer, and teacher with experience in Denmark, the USA, Canada, Israel, Argentina, and Switzerland. He blends movement, improvisation, physical theatre, and clowning with traditional techniques.
In Denmark, he teaches at Aarhus University, Den Danske Scenekunstskole, Filuren, and Teaterskolen Move’n Act. He holds a Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies and is the founding pedagogical director of Red Nose Academy.
Ana Luiza Ulsig
Actress - Drama teacher
Ana is a self-produced actress, theatre creator, and facilitator with over 15 years of experience. Since 2007, she has co-created theatre performances in Denmark, Brazil, and England. Her master’s thesis on creating art from autobiographical material has led her to mentor actors and aspiring artists.
Ana's versatile acting, shaped by extensive improv and theatre training, showcases her passion for creative and autobiographical performances. She has grown as a facilitator and co-creator, driven by her commitment to the arts.
Marika Rocca
Actress - Yoga teacher - Clown
Skilled medical clown trained by "Associazione Veronica Sacchi" and "Humanitarian Clowns." Marika has worked in hospitals and on humanitarian missions globally. She studied clowning and mime at "Campo Teatrale" and holds a fine arts degree from Brera Academy.
With over ten years in body language and physical movement, she is an actress at Ludico Theatre, a teacher at the Red Nose Academy, and a yoga instructor focusing on playful practices. She is an active member of SPAA (Street Performing Arts Association) in Aarhus
Will Hightower
Actor - Drama Teacher - Director
An American performer, director, and teaching artist with 20 years of experience in both short-form and long-form improv. He has performed at The Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC, The Hollywood Improv in LA, and was a regular at The Torch Theatre in Phoenix.
He specializes in Applied Improvisation, using improv techniques to enhance communication, foster innovation, and coach leadership in the corporate sector.
Pedro Carapinha
Musician
Pedro is a musician, percussionist, music producer and educator with a deep passion for Traditional World Percussion, which he has researched and performed for over 15 years.
He is the founder of the workshop Rhythmic Immersion, Frame Drums Essentials in Aarhus, currently collaborating with various music projects. He holds a degree in Educational Sciences from the University of Coimbra.
