What it is about?
This intensive workshop provides hands-on training for actors looking to develop confidence and technique in front of the camera. Whether you’re new to screen acting or transitioning from stage performance, this course offers essential tools for delivering natural, compelling performances on film.
Students will explore key differences between stage and screen acting, including how to adjust for different shot sizes, maintain continuity, and work within the technical constraints of a film set. The course also introduces the fundamentals of commercial acting, covering audition techniques, and reading commercial copy.
By the end of this workshop, students will have hands-on experience performing on camera, reviewing their work, and applying industry-standard techniques to both scripted scenes and commercial material. This course is ideal for beginners or actors looking to sharpen their on-camera presence in a supportive, practical environment.

Will Hightower
American performer, director, and teaching artist with 20 years of experience working with both short-form and long-form improvisational theatre. He has performed improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, did standup comedy at The Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, and he was a regular player at The Torch Theatre in Phoenix. He specializes in Applied Improvisation, which is an interdisciplinary consulting technique developed for the corporate sector using improv methodologies to improve interpersonal communication, inspire collaborative innovation, and coach organizational leadership.
